After confirming yesterday that it would release a New Game+ mode as the final bit of DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, developer CD Projekt Red presents some actual details, like the fact that players will be boosted to level 30 and that they can import not only their experience progression but also items and so on.

The Witcher 3 has gotten quite a lot of different free add-ons ever since its launch at the end of May, and for the final bit of downloadable content, the studio is going to bring the oft-requested New Game+ mode, probably next week.

Until then, CD Projekt Red Community Manager Marcin Momot confirms some actual details about New Game+ on the official forums.

First up, the mechanic allows players to restart the story and face off against tougher foes. They carry over their experience, and if they're not level 30, they'll be boosted automatically by the game. Some items, with the exception of quest items, books, letters, Gwent cards, usable gear, or trophies, also carry over, alongside alchemy recipes.

When starting NG+, players can select any difficulty level and they'll get a free Clearing Potion to reset their skills and possibly try a different character build.

Expect more details soon enough.
