The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt Red confirms that the final free downloadable content pack for its sprawling role-playing game is the long awaited New Game+ mode. Unfortunately, it won't be released this week, as the studio seems to need more time to polish it.

The Witcher 3 launched at the end of May, and since then, CD Projekt Red has released not just traditional patches and updates to eliminate problems and enhance aspects but also lots of free DLC packs that added new gear, outfits, or quests.

Now, after releasing the major update 1.07, CD Projekt Red confirms that the final free add-on is going to launch soon, in the form of a New Game+ mode.

According to the announcement on Facebook, the final DLC is still in development and needs a bit more time until it's complete for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. As such, fans shouldn't expect New Game+ to appear for The Witcher 3 this week.

It's unclear if it brings any new elements on top of the classic New Game+ formula, which allows players to restart the story while continuing their level and gear progression.

Expect to hear a more detailed announcement in the following days or early next week.
