The Solus Project is a new single-player exploration and survival game from Teotl Studios and GRIP Digital that's coming to Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview this February.

Many of the survival games that are released these days are multiplayer-only, and they usually require a high level of cooperation. The Solus Project is going the other way, and its developers are offering a complete single-player experience.

You are left stranded on a desolate planet, and you need to survive and figure out what has happened. It's a story-driven game, but players also have to do everything in their power not to die.

"Stranded on a deserted alien planet and with mankind on the brink of destruction, The Solus Project challenges you to survive the harsh, volatile environment, while looking for a way to save the human race. Confronted with merciless weather, and danger lurking around every corner, you will have to unravel the deep secrets of the seemingly deserted alien civilization. Are you alone…?" reads the official synopsis.

For now, the game will only be available in Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview, which means that its creators still have a lot of work on their hands. From the looks of it, it's a really complex game. Linux and Mac OS X versions haven't been excluded, but the team now focuses on delivering the full game.

Enjoy.
