The team at Nintendo in charge of the Virtual Console for the Wii U is announcing that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be launched for all European gamers on July 2, offering them access to one of the most loved titles in the franchise.

The official Twitter announcement is not saying whether the same date will be used for the United States version of the service.

The company has also not revealed whether any major changes are made to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, apart from the fact that it can now run on the Wii U.

The Link adventure was first introduced in 1998 and was offered on the Nintendo 64 and has since then launched on the Wii and the 3DS.

Fans of the series will appreciate the fact that a remake is launched for the Wii U, but they will surely prefer to get more information about the future of the series.

A new Legend of Zelda, which uses all the power of the Wii U, was revealed in 2014 during the E3 event, but since then Nintendo has not offered too many details about it.

The game will use an open world structure and will give gamers more ways than ever to interact with the world around them.
