The development team at Capcom working on Street Fighter V is announcing that it will be running some region-specific stress tests this week, trying to see how the game and the associated infrastructure perform when confronted with real world conditions.

The Unity article says that the studio is first launching a test from 4 PM to midnight British Standard Time on Thursday, August 20, and at the same time on Friday, August 21.

Capcom adds, "When we are confident with the results from this test, we will share the dates and times for North America and Asia’s region specific tests, and once we have successfully completed each regional stress test, we will announce the dates and times of the official global beta test."

Gamers who have signed up for the beta of Street Fighter V will be able to take part, but the stress tests are not counted against the five days that the company promised for the process initially.

The company is aiming to gather more information that can help it improve the overall game experience and says gamers might still find problems although the game should run more smoothly than during previous testing periods.

Those taking part should install the most recent Street Fighter V patch.

The fighting game is set to arrive during March of 2016 on both the PC and the PlayStation 4.
