Yu Suzuki, the leader of the new Shenmue 3 project, says that even if the community of fans does not manage to deliver a 10 million dollars (9 million Euro) crowdfunding development fund for the title he will be happy with the effort.

In a new Questions & Answers session on Kickstarter the game creator states, "I am grateful that there’s another chance for a new Shenmue. I will make what I can within the budget from your money."

Yu Suzuki previously explained that a lot of money would be needed to realize the entire potential of the title and to deliver a full open world structure, which fans have long been asking for.

At the moment there are 10 days left to go before the crowdfunding period for Shenmue 3 ends and it's very probable that the total amount of money raised will be a little under or over 5 million dollars (4.5 million Euro).

The video game was unveiled during the E3 2015 press conference from Sony, and the company will offer support for Yu Suzuki.

At the moment, it is unclear when Shenmue 3 might be launched or the amount of changes that will be made to the core action adventure mechanics.
