14 DAY TRIAL // Red Bull and Bungie are partnering up for a special surprise for Destiny players. Those who buy customized Red Bull energy drinks will receive a code that gives them access to a bonus XP buff, as well as to a special "epic quest" for the upcoming expansion, The Taken King.
Destiny has a pretty loyal following, but recent days have seen the community fight back against developer Bungie over the pricing of the upcoming expansion, The Taken King, due to its cost and the studio's attitude.
Now, another controversial maneuver has been revealed, as Red Bull confirms on its website that it's partnered with Bungie to offer those who buy special Destiny Red Bull energy drink cans unique bonuses.
More specifically, starting on June 1, Destiny players will be able to activate a special code in the game that gives them a Focused Light item. This, when activated, provides a 30-minute 50% bonus XP buff.
What's more, starting on September 15, Red Bull fans will also be able to enjoy an "epic new quest" in Destiny: The Taken King expansion. This multi-stage mission will test their speed and strategic abilities and will be available for all players starting on January 1, 2016.
