Microsoft's Xbox head Phil Spencer confirms that Quantum Break fans who are desperately waiting for a release date are going to be "happy" after the company's Gamescom 2015 press event tomorrow, August 4.

Quantum Break was revealed to the world way back in 2013 right alongside the Xbox One console. Pitched as a unique mix between an actual game and an episodic TV show, the ambitious title is still in development at Remedy Entertainment, the studio behind Max Payne or Alan Wake.

After sharing some gameplay at Gamescom 2014 last year and skipping over E3 2015 in June, the studio is ready to come back to Gamescom this week.

In order to hype up the Microsoft press event that's going to take place tomorrow, August 4, at Gamescom, Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirms on Twitter that Quantum Break fans will certainly be happy with the upcoming news.

More specifically, when asked if a Quantum Break release date is going to be revealed at the event, Spencer just mentions that fans will be "happy" after watching the conference on Tuesday.

Quantum Break has been in development for quite some time, and while it was scheduled to appear this fall, its release date got pushed back to 2016.
