Blizzard confirms that it's going to reveal the next expansion for its World of Warcraft online multiplayer experience at Gamescom 2015 next week, on August 6. The studio has declined to offer any other details but it says that a live stream will be transmitted all over the world.

World of Warcraft may have lost some of its popularity over the years but the MMORPG is still enjoyed by millions of subscribers from all over the world each month.

After releasing the Warlords of Draenor expansion last year, Blizzard confirms that it's ready to showcase the next major add-on next week, on August 6, during the Gamescom 2015 event.

The announcement, made on the official website, confirms that the expansion will be revealed through a special live stream from the German convention.

What's more, on Sunday, August 9, a special developer chat with members of the World of Warcraft team will also be broadcasted around the world, with more details about the game's future and its upcoming expansion.

The Blizzard booth will feature around 500 computers, at which fans can try out all of the studio's current titles, like Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft 2, or Hearthstone, not to mention the upcoming Overwatch.
