The upcoming Need for Speed reboot has just received a fresh trailer at Gamescom 2015, with Electronic Arts and Ghost Games sharing more footage recorded in-game. You can enjoy not just intense races but also brief glimpses of the customization system and the various characters you'll meet along the way.

The Need for Speed series has been around for many years, but recent installments have failed to capture the hearts and minds of fans, as older entries did.

With the simply titled Need for Speed, developer Ghost Games wants to take the saga back to its tuning roots, as seen in NFS Underground and its subsequent sequels.

After sharing more details and footage at E3 2015 in June, EA and Ghost Games are back at Gamescom 2015 with a fresh trailer with the racing experience.

As you can see below, while there's no direct gameplay footage, the sequences are captured in-game using the Frostbite 3 engine and depict some stellar races, not to mention some highly detailed characters that players will meet along the main campaign.

Expect to see and hear more of Need for Speed as we get closer to its debut on November 3, worldwide, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.

Update: EA has shared another video and more gameplay details about Need for Speed.
