The new footage, directed by Kojima, is stellar

The final launch video for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has finally been released by Konami and the creator of the series, Hideo Kojima. The footage, edited by the legendary designer, walks fans through the major entries and shows all sorts of sequences from the upcoming iteration.

The Metal Gear saga has been around for many years, delighting tens of millions of fans from all over the world with the top notch stealth gameplay as well as the convoluted yet dramatic story.

After exploring the saga through different spinoff experiences in recent years, designer Hideo Kojima and his team at Kojima productions are getting ready to launch Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain next week, on September 1, across PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 platforms.

The first reviews and impressions already appeared yesterday, but many fans have awaited the extensively teased launch trailer, which is directed by Hideo Kojima himself.

The video is finally here, and as you can see below, packs 5+ minutes of footage. The first half takes fans through the series, with some of the most memorable footage from past games. The second part depicts a massive sequence from The Phantom Pain, while sprinkling some of the praise the game got from the initial impressions.
