Video game publisher Electronic Arts and Great America are announcing that they are working together to create a new Mass Effect-themed attraction that will be introduced at the Action Theater that is featured in its California location.

Fans will be able to explore a range of environments from the series, and some of the featured characters will also be familiar faces.

The two companies are saying that those who want to explore the Mass Effect attraction will climb into motion-based seats and will put on 3D glasses as a live performer will narrate the experience.

4D effects and high-tech sounds will be used to create a feeling of immersion and the adventure will end with a battle which pits fans against powerful enemies.

It's unclear whether Commander Shepard and his companions will make an appearance as part of the new attraction.

Patrick O'Brien, vice president of Entertainment and Licensing at Electronic Arts, is quoted as saying, "Having a partner who shares our commitment to thrilling our fans is extremely important to us and we look forward to building an attraction that will appeal to the Mass Effect fan-base and introduce it to many more."

At the moment, BioWare is working on Mass Effect: Andromeda, which does not yet have a launch window and will introduce massive changes when it comes to the story and the mechanics of the series.
