Video game developer Avalanche Studios and publisher Warner Bros. are planning to launch their own video game take on the Mad Max universe on September 1 on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, and a new video linked to the title shows a real world version of the Magnum Opus vehicle that gamers will be able to ride in.

The short documentary is designed to show the passion that went into making the experience and features both Daniel Persson, lead artist and the man who created the Magnum Opus, and Odd Ahlgren, director in charge of narrative content.

It also includes some very cool footage of the vehicle in action, showing how the post-apocalyptic design can become a part of the world that we live in.

Mad Max will focus on the Magnum Opus, which gamers will need to create by getting access to the best possible parts that are scattered around the world, with exploration and combat both required to find and obtain them.

The development team says that about 70 percent of the video game will take place in the car, which can be customized to both outrun enemies and to take them out in spectacular engagements.

The story of Mad Max is not linked to that of the movie with the same name that arrived this year, with the main characters having to deal with a whole new boss called Scabrous Scrotus.
