Avalanche Studios confirms that it wants to support mods for Just Cause 3 as much as possible, although it can't say for sure if it will be able to bring the user-made add-ons to consoles like PS4 and Xbox One from the PC edition.

Just Cause 3 is set to debut later this year, and right from the beginning, developer Avalanche Studios has emphasized just how important mods will be for the open-world game, especially since they helped previous installments reach a much bigger audience on PC.

After we saw that Fallout 4, the upcoming RPG from Bethesda, would get PC mods on PS4 and Xbox One, Avalanche Studios talks to GameSpot and teases that such a thing might also be possible for Just Cause 3.

While talking about mods, Game Director Roland Lesterlin mentions that his own team has thought about such systems for the console versions of Just Cause 3 but he can't say for sure if they'll become a reality until the game launches on December 1.

Considering the limitations imposed by both Microsoft and Sony for their devices, it's unclear just what types of mods will be available for Just Cause 3, as well as for Fallout 4, on PS4 and Xbox One.
