During PAX, the development team at IO Interactive and publisher Square Enix are allowing gamers to get a full look at the core mechanics of the upcoming Hitman title by getting them to play through an entire mission called Showstopper.

The attached video shows Agent 47 using a wide array of signature moves and clever tactics to get through a level and take out enemies without being detected.

The core Hitman experience will include a focus on stealth, with disguises and silent takedowns used regardless of the way gamers decide to approach an objective.

The new game aims to offer players more freedom to decide how to approach each target and how much info to gather before they strike.

Showstopper is designed to show the fan community that the structure of the levels in the new game will be closer to that of Blood Money than Absolution, something that IO Interactive promised since the game was first announced.

The development team is also eager to show how new tech will allow Agent 47 to be more lifelike than ever and will inject even more emotional content into the story.

Hitman will be launched on the PLayStation 4, the Xbox One and the PC in downloadable form on December 8, and gamers will be able to pick the title up at retail later in 2016.
