Blizzard confirms that the highly anticipated launch of The Grand Tournament update for Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is set to begin later today, August 24, starting at around 7pm CET (9am PST or 12pm EST).

Hearthstone has been around for more than a year in its final version, and since the initial rollout, the collectible card game from Blizzard has amassed a cult-like following, delighting tens of millions of users with its free-to-play experience.

The latest and most impressive patch is set to launch today, August 24, in the form of The Grand Tournament, a new event inspired by a traditional World of Warcraft celebration, which packs in 100+ new cards, fresh mechanics, and much more.

After confirming that the update and its associated goodies debut on August 24, Blizzard mentions on its Twitter that the actual rollout won't begin until 7pm CET (9am PST or 12pm EST). Exact release times aren't available just yet but fans can at least rest assured that the rollout has a loose schedule.

It's unclear if the update and the new content will launch at the same time across all regions or if it will debut in a staggered fashion across the main zones.

Expect to see a changelog and more details about The Grand Tournament in the following hours, as we get closer to its launch.
