Clever Hearthstone fans have decided to delve deeper into the public files added to Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft by the upcoming The Grand Tournament update. Within it, they've found mentions of a two-player cooperative mode, as well as quite a few other things.

Hearthstone has been around for quite a bit of time and developer Blizzard has kept on releasing plenty of new features, updates, and expansions for the online collectible card game.

The latest and greatest add-on, The Grand Tournament, is set to debut next week and already files have been added to the content distribution network. Fortunately for fans, Hearthpwn has managed to datamine the update's temporary directories and have uncovered quite a few interesting things.

Besides the upcoming cards, the new gameboard, the new sounds, or even the new daily quests that reference the Tavern Brawl mode, the most important findings relate to a possible cooperative mode.

More specifically, there are new sound files that mention two players, working together to take out boss enemies. There are also taunts referring to two players, so it seems that the feature might arrive sooner rather than later.

As of yet, however, Blizzard hasn't talked about the possibility of a cooperative mode for Hearthstone, although it's quite likely that the studio, in its classic style, won't reveal anything until it's close to launching it for everyone to enjoy.
