The development team at 343 Industries, Microsoft and organizer ESL are announcing that they are launching the first matches of the Halo Championship Series Season 2 Finals on Friday, July 24, at 11 AM Pacific Daylight Time.

Matches continue both on Saturday and on Sunday, and gamers will be able to watch some of the best Halo players in the world fighting for a prize pool of 150,000 dollars (135,000 Euro).

The teams that will take part are Evil Geniuses, Denial eSports, Winterfox, Counter Logic Gaming, Cloud9, OpTic Gaming, Team Liquid, and eXcellence.

Gamers can watch all the action either live in Burbank or via streaming on Twitch, with full commentary.

All Halo fans can also win an Xbox One bundle with the Master Chief Collection as long as they use the Watch and Win option on their Microsoft home console.

Players can also get an Xbox One and customized controllers if they play any of the titles in the franchise before the weekend.

Halo 5: Guardians is at the moment set to be launched in late October of this year only on the Xbox One, and Microsoft has teased big plans for eSports competitions featuring its multiplayer mode, including the Warzone experience.
