Dying Light developer Techland is taking its brief bit of fun at the expense of Destiny's Red Bull crossover promotion to new heights, as the Polish studio has pledged to release various free downloadable content packs for the zombie game if players submit photos of them drinking water.

Destiny developer Bungie caused quite a backlash earlier this week when it revealed that the upcoming The Taken King expansion has a unique quest available only to those who buy a Red Bull energy drink in the U.S.

In order to take advantage of the situation, Dying Light studio Techland promised that every Twitter user who submitted a picture of them drinking water would get a free weapon docket item in the game.

After the huge initial success, Techland now pledges to offer four different free DLC packs for all Dying Light fans, provided they keep submitting photos of them drinking water.

As you can see in the special promo image below, already 5000+ images have been shared and this is going to result in a 50% XP boost going live for 24 hours on June 28.

Depending on the thresholds reached, Techland will pump out up to four new DLC packs for free, so get in on the action as soon as possible.
