Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios have officially rolled out the free Forza Motorsport 6 demo on the Xbox One platform. All owners of the console can download the trial free of charge and get a taste of the racing experience.

Forza Motorsport 6 arrives later this month, and developer Turn 10 Studios has talked about its many features plenty of times, while showcasing different videos, screenshots, and other information.

After confirming that the game's development was complete and that it went gold, the studio has revealed a September 1 launch date for its free demo.

The trial is now available for download on the Xbox Live service and weighs in at a hefty 12.67GB.

The free demo offers a selection of cars from the 450 vehicles featured in the final game. There are quite a few races included in it as well, among which a wet weather one and a nighttime event.

Of course, just like the full game, the demo of Forza Motorsport 6 runs at a 60fps framerate and a native 1080p full HD resolution on the Xbox One.

What's more, playing the demo automatically unlocks the new Ford GT in your garage in the final version of Forza 6 when it launches on September 16, in North America, and September 18, in Europe and the rest of the world.
