Vince Zampella, one of the co-founders of Respawn Entertainment and leading developer on Titanfall, says that the new title will not offer cross-platform play between the versions launched on the PC, the Xbox One and the older 360 from Microsoft.

Gamespot asked the developer whether Titanfall would have the feature and the developer stated, "I don’t think it’s locked yet, but to me, I’d like to keep it segregated so there’s no advantage or disadvantage."

Having closed universes for those playing on each platform will also allow the team at Respawn to craft an experience that suits the most important features of each gaming device.

Titanfall is set to arrive in spring 2014 on all platforms.

The new Respawn title will use an MMO structure and shooter mechanics complete with character progression and development.
