A few videos showing gameplay from the upcoming Nintendo Wii U exclusive platformer Yoshi's Woolly World have made their way to the surface of the Internet for all to enjoy.

Nintendo has been pretty quiet regarding the side-scrolling platformer, even though it's one of the most anticipated games for the Wii U, being the first proper entry in the Yoshi series that lands on a home console in close to 20 years.

All the recent Yoshi games have been released on handheld platforms like the DS or 3DS, but now fans of Nintendo's mascot will be able to enjoy the experience on a big screen. Not only that, but those who want to take their fandom to the next level can even get their hands on some neat Amiibo figurines made out of actual wool.

The new videos come from Nintendo Insider and NTowerTV, showing off the title screen, the opening cutscene, and then some gameplay footage from the game's first level.

Yoshi's Woolly World is currently slated for release on June 25 in Australia and Asia, and June 26 in Europe. For the time being, there is no clear release date for the North American edition of the title, aside from sometime this fall. The game will also be launched in Japan sometime this summer.
