Atlus might be preparing for a localization of the much coveted Yakuza 5 game that western gamers have long been praying for.

Atlus has seen a lot of games brought to the West, and its recent parent Sega has a reputation for delivering localizations to Western markets, consequently such a localization would not be entirely out of the ordinary.

Until now, 3 of the 5 PlayStation 3 Yakuza games have seen Western releases under Sega's banner, as GearNuke reports. Unfortunately, the last one didn't end up with impressive sales, actually quite the opposite happening, decreasing chances for further Yakuza localizations.

Yakuza 5 was released in Japan more than 1 year ago, and a recent source has emerged claiming that a Yakuza 5 might be heading for America. The reveal was made in the print version of EGM, but for now it remains just an unconfirmed rumor.
