Apart from comedy the game is also packed with hacking, slashing and a lot of crazy action

Publisher Tecmo Koei is intent on getting gamers hyped up before the launch of the upcoming Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, and this time around it's a TV ad that's the culprit.

The new add does a good job of establishing the game's mood, as Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is not focused on the ancient warriors of myth, but rather on comic inspired shenanigans and a lot of crazy action.

The game is the result of a collaboration between three studios, Team Ninja, Comcept and Spark Unlimited, and as such blends the best of both Japanese and American game design principles and offers its future players an enticing premise.

Ninjas are cool and all, with all the mystery shrouding them and all the acrobatic martial arts that sometime make you think they're just showing off, but what if you added zombies to the concoction? What if you added some silly elements to make the poor player's burden of slicing and dicing hordes of zombies easier to bear?

As such, the game is presented in a stylized cel-shaded world that is full of experimentation as far as traditional Ninja Gaiden titles go, and the devs have taken full advantage of all the humorous opportunities the introduction of zombies allowed them, as can be clearly seen in the TV ad.

The game is currently scheduled to come out on March 21 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms.
