The development teams at The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have launched a new video showing off Slowpoke, also known as Yadon in Japan, in all his glory, with a special song that is designed to celebrate the many qualities of the creature.

The footage and the song have a hypnotic quality, and the two companies are counting on them to increase interest in the coming big announcement related to the franchise, which is set to take place on August 26.

Sources are claiming that an iPad card game will be officially confirmed, and there are a lot of long-term fans who believe that another big title for the 3DS or the Wii U will be announced by Nintendo.

The company has long maintained that it does not plan to launch any core titles on mobile devices, but market pressure might change that position in the future.

The two companies are putting the finishing touches on Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, which will be launched on November 21 in Japan and North America and one week later in Europe.

The games will include a variety of new evolutions for the Pokemon, and gamers will be able to use the 3DS in new ways in order to explore a region of the world and battle a variety of capable trainers.
