The move is designed to attract a bigger audience for the new console

A source close to Microsoft suggests that the company will launch a special bundle for its coming Xbox One gaming console which will include a free copy of FIFA 14 from Electronic Arts, exclusively for the various markets in Europe.

MCV quotes two senior games industry executives who are saying that an official announcement will be made during the Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany.

The bundle is designed to attract more European buyers for the Xbox One and make up for the delay that will hit some of the countries on the continent.

Neither Microsoft nor Electronic Arts is willing to offer any comment linked to the rumor.

FIFA 14 will probably be the best-selling game on the European market for 2013, after it is launched, on September 24, and it would make sense for Microsoft to increase the popularity of the Xbox One by releasing a bundle.
