The development team at Microsoft in charge of the ID@Xbox program for the Xbox One home console is delivering a new video that’s designed to allow indie developers to talk about the initiative and how it benefits their current project.

The program is meant to give small teams the support and the resources they need in order to finish the titles they are working on and launch them on a next-gen platform, allowing them to reach a wide audience of dedicated players.

The ID@Xbox program uses a controversial parity clause, which has kept some developers away, but those who are working with Microsoft say that they are receiving a lot of good advice and solid access to resources from the company.

Both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 need indie developers because they can no longer rely on big publishers and on their own internal studios to deliver the amount of content that a modern gamer can consume.

Recently, Sony has announced that more than 1,000 developers are working on the PS4 at the moment, while Microsoft has claimed that there are 250 indie titles that will be delivered on its own platform in the coming year.

Recently, Phil Spencer, the vice president of the Microsoft Studios, has announced that a launch date for Minecraft for the Xbox One will be soon revealed.
