Microsoft says that it is satisfied with sales of the device

The Xbox One is the most expensive of the current slate of next-gen consoles and it seems that retailers are already interested in attracting more customers by dropping its price, with the United Kingdom-based Zavvi leading the way.

The company is taking 20 British pounds off the price of the Microsoft device and that means it is now being offered for 409.99 British pounds, which is about 673 dollars (497 Euro).

It’s unclear how long the offer will run for and some customers have complained that the store can offer the smaller price because its support and delivery network are under par.

The Xbox One package includes a controller and the new Kinect motion tracking system.

Microsoft will only probably cut the official price of the console if its sales drop significantly in the coming months or at some point in late 2015.

Sony probably has a similar plan for the PlayStation 4.
