Several veteran Xbox One marketing executives have apparently left Microsoft ahead of the console's launch next week, on November 22, according to former Xbox Live Community Manager Christa Charter.

The Xbox One is set to debut next week in 13 countries around the world, and the next-gen console's journey from announcement to launch was a very rocky one, plagued by restrictive policies, turnarounds, and various rumors about its performance.

Now, after learning that Xbox boss Don Mattrick left the company for Zynga some time ago, it seems that key Xbox One marketing executives have also departed right before the console's launch.

The news was delivered by former Xbox Live Community Manager Christa Charter, who mentioned on Twitter that veterans with 10 to 12 years of experience were leaving their positions as of right now.

No names or details were given, but this might not bode all that well for the future of the Xbox One.
