Microsoft has once again pledged to offer actual PC drivers for the Xbox One controller, so that owners of the device can use it when playing games on the computer, not just on the Xbox One console.

The Xbox one made its debut last year and included, besides the new console and the improved Kinect 2.0 sensor, a new controller design that boasted a fresh style and plenty of new features, such as the rumble in the triggers that's separate from the one in the actual controller.

While many Xbox One owners had hoped to use the gamepad with other platforms, like the PC, Microsoft was unwilling to pin a date on when it would debut the drivers that would make the controller work on PC.

Xbox Live Community Manager Larry Hryb has now come forward on gaming forum NeoGAF to confirm that the drivers will appear "very soon."

While Hryb has declined once again to offer an actual release date, it's possible that the company will unveil the drivers during its E3 2014 press conference, which is scheduled to take place on June 9.

As such, expect to hear in the near future when you can finally use the Xbox One controller with the PC platform.
