Social & Gaming and Purchase & Content usage not working

It looks like Xbox Live Services has some issues, which will limit the use of some functions, such as friends list for example.

According to the Xbox Live Status site, Purchase and Content usage is now limited, as well as Social and Gaming services. The status for IGN and Maxim apps indicates that their usage is limited as well.

However, it appears that Xbox Live Core services are up and running, along with the Website and TV, Music and Video services, so there's no need to panic yet.

There are no official statements for the moment regarding the limited usage of these services and no maintenance has been announced either.

For the time being, only the social services and friends list seem to be down for most Xbox Live users, but let's hope it won't spread to the core services as well.

Less than a month ago all Xbox Live Services were down for at least 24 hours following DDoS attacks executed by the infamous group called Lizard Squad.

We'll be keeping an eye out on any additional details on the matter and will update as we get more news. Hopefully, Microsoft will fix this sooner and no other Xbox Live Service usage will be limited.

Update1: Purchase and Content usage is now up and running.
