A brand new report has appeared on the web claiming that Microsoft's head of the Interactive Entertainment division (aka the Xbox business), Don Mattrick, had resigned from his position and will soon join social gaming company Zynga.

Microsoft revealed the Xbox One a few months ago and will soon release it to the world in November.

A key executive for the company is Don Mattrick, who got a lot of heat from fans due to the initial restrictions imposed by the Xbox One on used games and consumers.

While things have since changed, Mattrick has shied away from the spotlight.

Now, according to a report from AllthingsD, the executive is preparing to resign from his position at Microsoft and will soon take up the CEO position for Zynga, the struggling social gaming company.

No comments have been made by Microsoft, Mattrick, or Zynga concerning this big move, so take the info with a grain of salt.
