A new rumor has surfaced regarding the next-generation Xbox 720 (aka Durango), this time hinting at its x86 configuration, at least according to a job listing posted by Microsoft itself.

While Microsoft has yet to talk about its next-generation console, many reports have appeared concerning the Xbox 720 and its possible specs or features.

Even if the general consensus is that the console will have a x86 architecture, similar to that of a PC, a new confirmation has appeared through a Microsoft job listing for an Xbox software development engineer.

The job ad clearly mentions that experience with x86 architecture is a plus, once again hinting at the change that will happen with the upcoming Xbox 720.

Microsoft hasn't commented on the listing, so fans should take it with a grain of salt.
