In the midst of hearing many rumors about Sony's PlayStation 4, a brand new report has been leaked, highlighting the specifications and improvements of the Kinect 2.0 sensor that will be bundled with each next-generation Xbox 720 console.
While Sony will reveal the PS4 later today, February 20, Microsoft is still keeping details about its Xbox 720 under a shroud of secrecy.
Unfortunately for the company, VGleaks has just posted a brand new report about the specifications of the Kinect 2.0 sensor, which is supposed to be included with each next-gen console.
According to the website, the new Kinect uses a USB 3.0 interface and its 640x480 RGB camera has been upgraded to a 1080p 16 YUV one. The depth resolution has also been improved from 320x240 to 512x424, while a new infrared sensor has been added.
The new Kinect also has a wider field of view and will be able to track up to six people at a time. While it can't detect individual finger movement, it can distinguish from open and closed palms, even if the players are sitting.
You can expect to hear more rumors about the Xbox 720 and its new Kinect soon enough.
