Gamers will have to create new tactics to deal with it

Ananda Gupta, the lead designer working on the new XCOM: Enemy Within, says that his team has created the new Seeker enemy in order to sow panic among players who are keeping their squads together for tactical reasons.

He tells The Escapist that, “since Seekers can use stealth, and prefer to attack isolated targets while the rest of the squad is occupied with other enemies, they can really throw a wrench into the player's tactical routine.”

The Seeker is just one of the new enemies introduced to XCOM: Enemy Unknown and gamers will also have to develop new tactics in order to deal with mechs that can attack from range and with new types of heavy infantry.

Players will also get access to new resources and can develop their own robots and genetically enhance their operatives.

XCOM: Enemy Within will be launched on November 12 on the PC and on home consoles.
