World of Warplanes just launched its first major update, bringing about loads of new content for its fans. The update also comes with the enticing opportunity to win an Alienware gaming desktop.

The new content update comes with a large extension to the German tech tree, two new maps, Adriatic and Fortress, five new Tier V Premium planes, a new set of achievements, better camera and mouse controls and some balance adjustments.

The most important balance fix is marking the end of the supremacy of high-altitude aircraft, by increasing the maneuverability of low-profile planes, allowing pilots who are closer to the ground more ways of evading and striking back when attacked from above.

The 1.1 Update also adds a new fourth Training lesson, and all players that play through all four of them will be eligible for the sweepstakes that will award one lucky player with an Alienware Aurora Gaming Desktop and 10 others with a new German Premium plane.

The Alienware Aurora Sweepstakes Contest is only open to residents of North America, and will end on January 5.
