Blizzard Entertainment has announced that it's planning to reclaim a lot of inactive names before World of Warcraft's next expansion, Warlords of Draenor, goes live in November.

The news comes from a blog post on Battle.net, explaining that the Warlords of Draenor pre-patch 6.0.2 will disable any and all character names that haven't logged into the game since November 13, 2008, making them available once again.

Players who already have beefy characters and don't want to lose their progress but still want to nab juicy names such as Leeroy Jenkins or Harry Dotter can do so by making use of the paid Character Name Change service that Blizzard provides.

In any case, if you want to preserve such glorious monikers as Cleavage (female Warrior), Crossblesser (Priest), Moolikejaggr (Tauren) or Willferal (Druid), you would do well to log in in order to prevent them being lost. For the time being, the developer has not mentioned any set release date for the pre-patch.

Warlords of Draenor is scheduled to come out on November 13, celebrating the massively multiplayer online role-playing game's tenth anniversary. This will be the title's fifth expansion, introducing a wealth of new content for players to explore, as well as some fundamental changes to the game's system.
