Lead quest designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz believes that the maturity of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will dwarf that of the previous two entries in the series and will allow players to see a new side of main character Geralt.

He tells VG247 that, “Geralt has regained his memory, and he’s also more mature now. He knows what he wants from life, and he’s determined to get it.”

He adds, “It focuses on matters most personal for Geralt, but at the same time we are still keeping complex the politics, intrigues and mature subjects like racism.”

The Witcher 3 will involve the character’s first love, Yennefer of Vengerberg, and the character will have to deal with some of the most important events from his past.

CD Projekt RED has already confirmed that characters from previous Witcher titles will have an important role in Wild Hunt.
