As promised yesterday, Kojima Productions and Konami have delivered the 30-minute long demo of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain that was showcased during last week's E3 gaming trade show, behind closed doors.

Fortunately, the Internet was ready as always, and in case you missed the livestream event on the Kojima Station Twitch channel, YouTube user YongYea has your back.

The video shows some plot and some action set in Afghanistan and in the Mother Base. It's definitely spectacular, as previewed in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, released earlier this year and serving as a prologue to the events of The Phantom Pain.

The E3 2014 demonstration covered several key gameplay aspects, from infiltration to exploration, marking enemies before engagements, and showing some horseback action interspersed with the fast-paced and tense stealth takedowns and silent shooting sequences that the series is famous for.

The video ends with some footage showing the Mother Base, which you can now visit, expand and improve on as you progress through the game's story.

Also, did you know that there are raw diamonds in Afghanistan, just waiting for you to come over and pick them up? That Mother Base is apparently going to end up pretty blinged up.
