Developer Polyphony Digital and publisher Sony have released a video showing the newly released Lexus LF-LC GT Vision Gran Turismo in action in Gran Turismo 6.

Lexus is a well-known brand, versed in both the manufacturing of luxury cars and in the world of competition, and the new vehicle is meant to celebrate the Gran Turismo series' 15th anniversary.

The vehicle is being added to the Vision garage, where players will be able to buy it or earn it as a reward for a new Seasonal Event.

The Lexus LF-LC GT Vision Gran Turismo is based on the 2012 LF-LC Coupe concept, and draws on some of the elements of the RC F GT500, a known competitor in the Super GT GT500 race series from Japan.

The Gran Turismo series doesn’t produce new games very often, but when it does, they're usually at the pinnacle of technological development, pushing the envelope of the PlayStation system.

They also carry a lot of weight with car manufacturers, being seen as one of the premier racing simulation video games in the world.

Polyphony Digital is currently working on a new installment in the long-standing racing simulation series, to be released on the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system from Sony.

For the time being, there is no information pertaining to a prospective release window for the next GT game, but we'll keep our ears open and come back with the news when it drops.
