The first hour of gameplay from upcoming third-person action-adventure video game The Order: 1886 has made its way to the surface of the Internet.

Developed by Ready at Dawn, the game is focused heavily on the narrative, offering a cinematic experience like no other. The action is set in Victorian London and follows the members of an ancient order of knights, fighting against supernatural forces.

There has been a lot of controversy regarding the game so far, with many members of the community decrying the fact that The Order: 1886 seems more like an interactive movie, riddled with quick time events, than an actual video game.

The game looks truly great, and it's going to be very interesting to see how the PlayStation 4's hardware handles the high visual fidelity during action sequences.

This video should offer a clear overview of how the game plays, or at least how things are for the first hour or so. Also, the footage was captured on the hard difficulty mode.

Be aware, however, that the video includes a lot of spoilers, so if you plan on enjoying the game yourself, no matter what, you might want to leave its aura of mystery untouched.

The Order: 1886 is headed exclusively to the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system from Sony, coming out on February 20.
