Publisher Square Enix and developer Avalanche Studios have just released the first gameplay video from the upcoming Just Cause 3, one of the most anticipated action-adventure titles of the year.

According to the studio, the impressive video consists entirely of gameplay footage and great use of camera angles, without any custcenes, scripts or staged events getting in the way, which paints a very exciting picture for the upcoming title.

The trailer is, as expected, chock-full of action, highlighting the protagonist's use of the series' signature utility features, the wingsuit and grapple hook, and also some of the biggest explosions in the series yet.

Players will be able to once again step into the shoes of Rico Rodriguez and rescue a tropical paradise from the clutches of an evil dictator by destroying everything, including the infrastructure, mainly because fire simulation technology looks great.

This time around, he will have to go against the ruthless dictator General Di Ravello in order to free his own home, the island of Medici, from the regime of tyranny instated by the villain.

Those who pre-order the game will be able to secure access to an exclusive weaponized vehicle pack.

Just Cause 3 is currently looking at a Q4 2015 release window, scheduled to drop on the Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.

Avalanche Studios is also launching Mad Max this September.
