The bug prevents users from loading games after redeeming uPlay rewards

It appears that a large number of players are still having trouble with Ubisoft's open-world adventure video game Watch Dogs, as the title's uPlay rewards system is preventing them from being able to load their saved games.

The users have reported that the problem pops up after they redeem special content through the uPlay rewards screen, and the large thread on Ubisoft's Watch Dogs forums has been flooded by hundreds of complaints from users claiming to have encountered the bug.

Players signed into uPlay can earn reward points while playing and performing certain tasks, which can then be spent to purchase some exclusive content, such as the overplayed gold-colored D50 gun, a Papavero Stealth Edition car, and other such vanity items.

In an act that's apparently coming from the almighty upstairs himself, that vanity is being punished by player not being able to reload their game. Many players have reported that after redeeming the in-game rewards, the game refused to load their saved games, freezing at the 90 percent mark.

The bad thing about the bug is that it was first reported on May 27, right on the day that the game was released, and that, more than a week later, it's still causing problems.

Ubisoft has tweeted to their fans that they are aware of the problem that their users are encountering, and that they're hard at work on finding a way to fix it.

"If you're encountering that issue, please submit a ticket to http://support.ubi.com to help move forward. Thanks for understanding," the company has further stated.
