Video game publisher has wasted no time in order to get the rights to a number of Internet domain names that are related to their new video game, Watch Dogs, and the word “movie,” suggesting that the company might be working on a tie-in.

The move might be simply a way of making sure that other entities are unable to use the domains for their own aims and then try to re-sell them to Ubisoft.

But Ubisoft has been known to promote video games via other media products so we might see some kind of short movie based on Watch Dogs shortly before launch.

Recently, it has been rumored that Paramount was working with Ubisoft to create a movie-based around Splinter Cell, presumably linked in some way to the new Blacklist announcement.

Watch Dogs is an open-world action adventure game, with a lot of hacking thrown in, set to arrive during 2013.
