Watch Dogs, the all-new game coming this November from Ubisoft's Montreal studio, has the potential to sell as well or even better than the original Assassin's Creed title, at least according to the company.

Watch Dogs is one of the few all-new intellectual properties set to debut this year, and Ubisoft has hyped it up with a variety of videos, screenshots, and details about its hacking mechanics.

In the latest financial guidance meeting, Ubisoft's Alain Corre revealed that the new title can equal or surpass the first Assassin's Creed game.

"Watch Dogs can do probably as well or probably even better than Assassin's Creed 1," he noted, via NeoGAF.

According to previous financial results, the original Assassin's Creed, which came out in 2007, managed to sell around 6 million copies in around 6 months across PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Watch Dogs is slated to appear not just on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, but also on the Wii U and on next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 or Xbox 720.
