Capcom's Dead Rising 3 is one of the most interesting zombie-flavored video games, opting to inject a healthy dose of crass humor and over-the-top action into the horror survival formula.

Its irreverent ways can now also be enjoyed by PC users, as the open-world action-adventure video game was launched on September 5, last week, breaking the shackles of platform exclusivity together with Crytek's Ryse: Son of Rome, also making its escape from the Xbox One and heading for PCs all across the world.

The talented individuals at Digital Foundry got their hands on Capcom's game, and in spite of encountering some issues that resulted in the game continuously crashing, they managed to put together a nifty video offering a side-by-side comparison of Dead Rising 3 running on PC and on the Xbox One computer entertainment from Microsoft.

The team says that while the options menu offers a wealth of switches and levers, the highest possible settings are eventually just a match for the game's level of detail on the Xbox One, with many of the features limited or simply missing.

In any case, you can watch the video below, showing the 720p Xbox One version of Dead Rising 3 going head to head with the 1080p version running on a PC, and make up your own mind.
