Battlefield 4 is getting a pretty big update this month, introducing a lot of twists into its gameplay formula, as well as addressing a few of the known issues that the community has been vocal about.

The developer has offered an outline of what's coming in the patch, including balance fixes and bugs, as well as improved online connectivity, and Battlefield veteran Westie has provided a neat rundown of everything that's coming in video form.

Westie's YouTube channel is filled with miscellaneous Battlefield content, and his latest video tells you everything you need to know about the long-rumored patch that's slated to come within the next 7 days, delivering a cure to a lot of the problems plaguing the online multiplayer modes of the popular first-person shooter.

One of the most important additions comes in the form of changes to the netcode, reducing the allotted time for bullets to hit their targets, which will translate into less deaths while around corners, and other such latency-related issues that can result in annoying online experiences.

Developer DICE has not offered a clear date for the release of the update, but it's expected to come out in September, so you won't have to wait too much for it.
