The organizers of the upcoming Game Developers Conference announce that the tenth and final edition of the Game Design Challenge will take place during the event, between March 25 and 29, with a number of developers asked to create Humanity’s Last Game.

The list of contestants includes: Steve Meretzky from Playdom, Jenova Chen, who created Journey, professor Richard Lemarchand, who led the Uncharted series, Erin Robinson from Ivy Games, independent designer Jason Rohrer, Harvey Smith, one of the developers of Dishonored and Will Wright, original designer of Sim City.

Warren Spector will also hold a conference called “Narrative in Games - Role, Forms, Problems, and Potential,” drawing on his experience with Deus Ex and Epic Mickey.

Rumors suggest that Battlefield 4 will be revealed during GDC 2013 by the development team at DICE.
