Rex Crowle, the creative director working at Media Molecule, says that his team needed to make its upcoming Tearaway beautiful because of the computing power that was available on the PlayStation Vita handheld.

He tells VG247 that, “It’s very powerful so naturally you have to make the game beautiful. I haven’t been able to play anything other than Tearaway for a long time but I’ve seen screenshots of Killzone and it’s just unbelievable.”

The team has focused on creating an experience that focuses on touch controls because the Vita is very responsive and because they liked the rubber-like feeling of the back surface.

Tearaway will be launched both in the United States and in Europe on November 22.

The game puts players in a world made out of paper, where they are able to create and mix content in innovative ways.
