Video game developer Petroglyph is launching a Kickstarter project to get funding for Victory, a new strategy title that’s focused on online battles between teams of players using units and factions from World War II.

Gamers will have a collection of units and abilities that they will bring into each match, and they will have to collaborate with partners in order to defeat another team in matches that last between 15 and 20 minutes.

Real-time strategy mechanics are used in Victory and, once a match is over, players will get experience that can be used to upgrade units or to get access to new options and more powerful Commander Packs.

Oksana Kubushyna, the development leader working on Victory, states on the Kickstarter page that “If World Of Tanks, StarCraft and League of Legends had a baby, it would be Victory.”

Petroglyph aims to get 700,000 dollars (€538,000) for Victory, and those who like the concept have another 28 days to contribute.
